Intensive Cajon Course
Description
During this interactive workshops students explore a unique and hip instrument called the Cajon. This instrument is becoming very popular amongst musicians due to its versatility and sonic closeness to the drum kit. Rudimental applications and drum friendly techniques are also another reason why a lot of performers are passionate about the Cajon.
Students explore new possibilities of how to apply rhythms usually performed on drums and learn to transfer them to the Cajon thus providing a new voice that can easily be used in acoustic gig situations.
Many jazz musicians as well as rock players have been influenced by Flamenco music for decades. The rhythmic richness and phrasing capabilities of this style offers a new and extended musical vocabulary that can be applied and adapted onto any other instrument or style to create interesting performances and provide soloing ideas in odd time signatures.
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to develop teir Cajon knowledge: from beginners to professional musicians. Please contact us if you have any questions.
